This week some of our team in PeoplePlus Scotland attended, alongside partners, the annual supper for Robert Burns and Maulana Jalal Ad-Din (Rum). The event was organised by Glasgow Afghan United who are a fantastic organisation that we have been working with to support the Afghani community in Glasgow.

Aftab first came to the Stockton Restart Centre in October 2023. He came well prepared with all of his relevant documents and as he knew he wanted to work in the security industry he also brought his SIA license. During his first couple of appointments his Employment Advisor Jonathan worked with Aftab to look for any security positions that became available.

It’s Carers Rights Day, the theme this year is Your Rights: Today, Tomorrow, and in the Future. Today our Gloucestershire Carers Hub Team joined many organisations in making sure that unpaid Carers are able to access information surrounding their rights. Unpaid Carers provide essential care and support to individuals who could be family, friends or neighbour's, often at great personal expense.
