Prior to coming to the Restart programme Robert had been long term unemployed and had not worked for several years. When he was first referred he was lacking a realistic understanding of the job market as well as confidence. He really wanted to improve his skills so he could find sustainable employment.

Before Cecilia joined Fair Start Scotland with PeoplePlus she had been unemployed for 16 years. She did not know how to look or apply for jobs as things have changed massively since she last applied for work. This was a real barrier for Cecilia but she really wanted to work.
