United Utilities and their construction and infrastructure supply chain partners are hosting an employment event for people who want to build a career in construction.

If you support candidates who could take up work in the sector, this event is a direct route to the employers doing the hiring and in-work training. 

Confirmed as attending are major construction and infrastructure employers Flannerys, Kier, Mott MacDonald Bentley and MWH Treatment

United Utilities is hosting this special event at their Warrington headquarters at Lingley Mere Business Park. 

Why bring your candidates

What you need to know

Date: Friday 25 September 2026

Timings: Employers will meet candidates between 10 am and 2 pm. 

Slots: Groups will attend in four time slots, for a maximum of one hour per attendee. Candidates should arrive at the site 30 minutes before the start of their slot to allow time for registration.  

Venue: United Utilities Group PLC, Haweswater House, Lingley Mere Business Park, Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey, Warrington WA5 3LP

Cost: No cost to attend, subject to usual SRF terms of engagement. 

Places: Limited, and allocated across the Social Recruitment Framework network. 

Travel: Some onsite parking is available for candidates, with details of public transport services for the Lingley Mere site available here.  

Accessibility: United Utilities is a Disability Confident employer and this venue is fully accessible. 

What we need from you now

Given the commitment of the employers attending and their range of opportunities, we are able to share details of some of the roles available in advance of the event. We hope this will enable you to work closely with candidates, empowering them to talk directly to the recruitment teams with the roles they are best suited to. 

What happens next

  1. Register your interest by emailing us or using the form below. 
  2. We'll confirm your place and send timings, the employer line-up and how many candidates you can bring.
  3. You can use this webpage to help engage your candidates. 
  4. Confirm your candidates ahead of the day. Your account manager will provide the schedule and when exactly candidates should arrive at the venue.
