Social Impact Hub

Creating social value at the heart of communities.

The Social Impact Hub is focal point for social value programmes designed to address barriers to employment. The Hub model takes each employment barrier theme and harnesses the collective power of employers, partners and trusted local organisations to tackle them.

In so doing, employers are enabled to add social value while meeting their recruitment needs with candidates from previously untapped talent pools. People and communities who have been overlooked in the job market become seen and appreciated for the unique perspectives they bring.

These social impact programmes have all been carefully designed to address the most significant barriers to work, with particular emphasis on supporting:

  • ex-offenders
  • ethnic minority groups
  • veterans
  • long term unemployed
  • people with disabilities or learning differences
  • refugees

The Social Impact Hub is co-created with local communities including local authorities and trusted VCSE providers to ensure the solutions are based upon grassroots, local need. It brings together the best quality services from private and not for profit sectors.

Importantly, we use the PeoplePlus Social Value calculator to demonstrate both the immediate and long term worth of Social Impact Hub work and how it drives continued change over time in local communities.

Our programmes are delivered in conjunction with our extensive network of specialist partners and VSCE organisations. Harnessing the powerful collective endeavors of all stakeholders to ensure that specialist, locally accessible support can be provided on the ground becomes the shared goal.
