PAYE Scheme & HMRC
PeoplePlus will be transferring the delivery of our Direct Payment services to a specialist organisation called People Places Lives (PPL) on 1st June 2026
PPL is an experienced provider that focuses on direct payments, personalised support and helping people live independently in their communities.
From 1st June 2026, the PeoplePlus team who currently support you will move across to PPL. This means the same people and team who you already know and trust will continue to work with you.
What You Need to Do
To ensure uninterrupted communication with HMRC regarding your PAYE scheme, PPL must be formally authorised as your PAYE agent. This will allow them to continue handling PAYE queries, coding notices, and other payroll-related HMRC matters on your behalf.
HMRC requires each employer to provide authorisation directly. We will start this process by asking HMRC to send you an agent-authorisation code.
You will receive a letter from HMRC containing a unique 6 ‑digit agent authorisation code.
- The letter is sent directly to your registered PAYE postal address.
- For security reasons, the code cannot be emailed or given over the phone.
Once you receive the Authorisation Code, please send it to us as soon as possible either by calling 0330 123 2815 or emailing [email protected]
- We will then complete the authorisation process with HMRC.
Why This Is Important
Without this authorisation in place, PPL will not be able to:
- Access your PAYE records
- Receive tax code updates
- Handle HMRC payroll queries for you
Completing this process promptly ensures there is no disruption to your payroll service.
NEST Pension Schemes
For clients who have an active pension scheme with NEST, no action is required from you. We will transfer delegation to PPL directly within the NEST system and, where applicable, manage the Direct Debit arrangements on your behalf for any scheme currently operating under a PeoplePlus ‑managed account.
Your pension contributions, enrolments, and payments will continue as normal throughout this transition.
If you do not currently have a pension scheme in place, this section does not apply and no changes will be made.
