The minimum duration for this course is 12 months (and 18 months for Advanced Apprenticeship), with prior learning and experience counting towards reducing the duration.

Career path

Childcare and Young People’s Workforce gives graduates a variety of options within working or volunteering in childcare. These include Nursery practitioner, Supervisor or Registered Childminder

Entry requirements

There are generally no entry requirements for the Children and Young People’s Workforce apprenticeship; however, employers may sometimes impose their own in line with their recruitment process. All applicants will complete initial assessments with us to ensure they are placed at the right level of the Apprenticeship.
