Kirsten, a lone parent, faced unemployment and uncertainty in October 2023. Unsure of her next steps, she felt lost until she met Key Worker Elaine from North Lanarkshire's Working for Families programme. Elaine listened to Kirsten's worries and helped her understand what she wanted. Together, they joined a career course, which boosted Kirsten's skills and confidence. With Elaine's encouragement, Kirsten secured a shadowing opportunity at CAB.

As Kirsten delved deeper into the course, she found herself gaining not only qualifications but also a newfound sense of purpose. The supportive environment, coupled with Elaine's guidance, allowed Kirsten to explore her interests and strengths. Slowly but surely, she began to envision a brighter future for herself and her family.

The shadowing opportunity at CAB was a turning point for Kirsten. It provided her with hands-on experience and a glimpse into a potential career path. With Elaine's ongoing support, Kirsten approached her new role with enthusiasm and determination.

As the weeks passed, Kirsten's confidence continued to grow. She embraced each new challenge with resilience, knowing that Elaine was there to cheer her on every step of the way. The once daunting prospect of unemployment now seemed like a distant memory, replaced by a sense of hope.

Reflecting on her journey, Kirsten couldn't help but feel grateful for Elaine's support, stating "I cannot thank Elaine enough for the support she's given and continues to provide. The service is brilliant and offers so much to people like myself.”

With Elaine's help, Kirsten's journey from uncertainty to hope was well underway. She looked forward to what the future held, knowing that she had the support and guidance she needed to succeed.
